Sprite Design - Portfolio - Elise Richey
Seattle Times Design

Seattle Times Design

Position

Working in the Seattle Times was a gift. I still miss it. One minute it was quiet and then a news story would erupt the building and we'd be scrambling to get designs and code up and publish ongoing stories. During low key news days I could work on special projects, such as immigration debate and shrinking glaciers of the Northwest. As a developer it was really exciting, you never knew what the day was going to bring.

The PROJECTS

Pike Place Market Special Report - Inveractive Map. Back when Flash was cool, I developed AS2 based interactive maps such as the Immigration Border Tour and the Pike Place 100 year anniversary.

  • What my junior devs say

I have grown so much thanks to Elise. Elise has great leadership qualities and she takes the time to help others learn and understand every aspect of Web development. The biggest skill Elise helped me develop, is how to take any project from mock-up to production quickly.
